About Me
Glen was born on February 7, 1954, and was blessed to be raised in a faithful Christian home. As a child, he made a profession of faith, but it was during his college years that he came to a settled commitment to fully yield his life to Christ. After his conversion, he transferred from Ball State University to Free Will Baptist Bible College. During his time there, he answered God's call to preach.
Upon graduation in 1979, he returned to his home church in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, where he became the church's first full-time pastor. In 1983, he married Lorri Scarborough. Together, they have been blessed with six children and nineteen grandchildren, and three of their sons-in-law serve as ordained ministers.
In 1990, Glen accepted the call to serve as pastor of Good News Free Will Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Virginia. He faithfully served in this ministry for thirty-six years. Throughout his years of pastoral ministry, he also served his denomination in various leadership roles at the national, state, and local levels. His ministry has also provided opportunities to preach throughout the United States and in several countries around the world.
Glen considers one of his greatest joys to be seeing those who came to Christ during his years of pastoral ministry continue to faithfully serve the Lord in the various places and roles where God has called them. His burden is to provide encouragement and equip others to faithfully pass the baton to the next generation. His desire is to help churches remain spiritually vibrant and firmly grounded in biblical truth. Forty-seven years of pastoral ministry have given him a wealth of experience and perspective that he hopes will encourage and equip those to whom he ministers. He is honored to serve the Kingdom of God wherever and however the Lord may use him.
